Staying safe in time of crisis

There is a lot being said by professionals of all stripes throughout this covid-19 crisis, which is challenging business, government and non-profits like nothing else has in recent history.

I won’t add too much commentary except to say that high quality strategic communications are essential at a time like this, and I am here to help. Perhaps your organization has not had to deal with crisis communications in the past, and you need some guidance on how to prepare a crisis communications plan. Perhaps you have to talk to the media all of a sudden, and need some coaching and prep to communicate effectively. Or, maybe your writing workload has multiplied and you need a bit of help with capacity. For any of these scenarios, please reach out. I can help.

I have worked from home for a couple of years now, so the routine for me hasn’t changed too much, although I am missing the gym and restaurants! That said, I find there is such a barrage of information and the situation is evolving so quickly that I am feeling a bit anxious. I catch myself refreshing the news feed every five minutes, which isn’t helping anyone. I half feel inclined to curl up on the couch and half want to run around the block!

I took a moment to pull together a list of things that I am doing to preserve my calm during this self-isolation time. I hope that you find it helpful. Drop me a line and let me know how you are keeping cool during this time.

Stay safe, stay sane, and together we will come out of this stronger than ever.

Warmly,

Vanessa
