Social Media Strategy

Do you have a social media strategy for your business, non-profit or special project?

Social media has taken over so many aspects of our lives. We use it at work to promote, connect, and educate, and then we go home and use it to catch up with friends and family, stay up-to-date on current affairs and learn interesting new things. In fact, 25 million Canadians use social media, and the numbers are growing.

Facebook is the biggest social media channel. Would you believe that it has 2.45 billion active monthly users, and 1.62 billion daily users? The numbers are staggering.

Social media for business, non-profits and advocacy is a powerful tool, when used correctly. How do you make sure that you’re using it effectively, safely and using it to reach your communications and marketing goals?

I will tell you that people do come to me and ask for “social media” help. Social media for business can be a bit of  a mystery, and time-consuming, especially when you’re not sure what you’re doing.

My answer is always the same - happy to help, but how does it fit in with your overall marketing strategy? What are you hoping to achieve? What tools are you using to get there?

It might sound boring, but without a comprehensive strategic marketing or communications plan in place, social media is just sending tweets into the wind. It’s not worth your time.

Fear not. An effective strategy is just a phone call away. I have the formula to develop a plan that identifies your goals and how we will reach them. Social media will likely be a huge part of it!

Together we can get you where you need to go.
