about me

I have always made fitness a priority, even when my communications career and personal life are busy and demanding. Being fit, strong and active keeps me at the top of my game in my career, helps me to maintain calm and balance, and allows me to enjoy everyday activities with ease. I understand that real life can be tough sometimes, but making fitness a part of your life is always worth it.

I am so fortunate to live on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC. I take every opportunity to get outside and hike, bike, golf, or just walk along the beach and enjoy the incredible place that I live.

Dance has been an important part of my life since age ten. I competed and performed extensively when I was younger, accomplishing Royal Academy of Dance level Intermediate. I still enjoy studying ballet and take every opportunity to move to music.

In 2017, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour, called a meningioma, the size of a golf ball in the back of my brain. I am very fortunate that it was operable, and that they were able to remove the entire tumour with no brain damage. I was back at normal activities within weeks of my surgery, and I credit my high level of fitness with getting me back on my feet again so quickly.

I have practiced yoga for nearly 25 years, and now I incorporate yoga into every aspect of my life, including workouts and day-to-day activities. Yoga supports all my other fitness activities, and teaches me how to connect my mind and body.

I believe that no matter which nutrition program you choose, you benefit from drinking a lot of water, eating a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits, and avoiding processed foods as much as possible. I can help you with nutrition basics, and can give you some fun ideas for delicious meals and snacks.

I am always learning! I am passionate about learning new things and becoming more of an expert in my field. I am excited to share my knowledge with you so that you are empowered to be as fit as you can be.
